Hello –
I am glad that you are interested in going to the Acquire The Fire event this year. ATF is a weekend that is packed full of concerts, worship, teaching, dramas and thousands of teenagers. I hope this packet will answer all of the questions you have about the ATF event. When you are ready to sign-up, be sure to fill out the Medical Release Form & Parent Permission Form. The links for both are just above this paragraph – all you need to do is left click on them and then print them off. Then turn them in along with your shirt size and $30 to a sponsor at Reality Check Teen Center or the Community Bible Fellowship Office or me, Justin Mourn, before the end of January.
WHO:
Acquire the Fire is for any teenager that wants to go to an event that focuses on Jesus Christ in a life changing way. If you do not go to a church OR you attend a church on a regular basis, this weekend is for you! So, if you are from 7th to 12th grade, we would love to have you join us at ATF.
WHEN:
The ATF event will be held on Friday & Saturday, March 26 & 27. We will be staying the night of the 27th because we do not want to drive all night back home. We will return on Sunday, March 28th in the afternoon.
Leave – Friday, March 26th @ 9:45 AM from CBF
Return – Sunday, March 26th at approx. 2:00 PM to CBF
WHERE:
The ATF event will be held at the Mabee Center in Tulsa, OK. The Mabee Center is an indoor arena that houses 11,300 people. This year we have floor tickets, so we will be closer to that action than ever.
As a group, we will be staying at Skelly Drive Baptist Church. We will be bringing our own sleeping bags, towels & toiletries. Adults will be allowed to bring an air mattress or cot for better sleeping.
WHAT:
ATF is one of my personal favorite events. The drama is always amazing and has an impactful lesson. The worship music (especially when we were in K.C.) is perfect for setting a mood to focus on God. Every year a few bands come and lead in some very loud concerts. This year is my personal favorite Thousand Foot Krutch, as well as Building 429, Unhindered and Abandon. The two speakers this year are Ron Luce & Mike Guzzardo.
If you have any other questions about the event feel free to give me a call or ask anyone who has attended in the past. (213-0014 cell or 886-3036 home)

The deposit of $30 is due by Jaunuary 31, 2010

Okay – it is official, I hate the “what not to bring” section. Please know that we only have this because we want to gain all we can from this trip. If something is on the list it does not necessarily mean that we do no like it, it only means that it will not help us in making the most out of this event.
